Founded in 1973 by Roland Corporation, Boss released their first product in 1974, the B-100. They have been extremely popular extending their range massively to include bass pedals, multi effects, drum machines, tuners, samplers, amplifiers and a huge range of single effect stompboxes. There is no doubt that Boss has been highly influential in the direction the stompbox pedal market has taken.
